Jane Elizabeth Craft

Mrs. Jane Elizabeth Craft, age 82, of Elkton, MD, passed away on Wednesday, January 30, 2013.
Born in Brooklyn, NY, on July 8, 1930, Mrs. Craft was the daughter of the late John P. Dugan and Rose Hutchinson Dugan. She attended the Good Shepherd School and graduated in 1948 from St. Edmund’s High School in Brooklyn.
Before marrying, she worked in the office of W.T. Grant’s in Newark, Delaware and as bookkeeper for John P. Dugan & Son.
She will be long and fondly remembered as a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. Mrs. Craft dedicated her life to her family, of whom she was very proud, and encouraged her children throughout their lives, demanding only that they “do their best.”
In her leisure hours, she greatly enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren, and reading.
She is survived by her beloved husband of 49 years, Lewis Layfield Craft; children, Louise Frock (Jeff), Charles Craft (Patricia), and Frank Craft (Kathy); brother, John Dugan (Donna); sister, Mary Patricia Dunleavy (John); and grandchildren, Rachel, Zachary, Garrett, and Jeremy. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by sisters, Ann D. Dineen and Rose Alice Dugan.
Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 12:30 pm on Tuesday, February 5th, at Our Lady of Fatima R.C. Church, 801 N. DuPont Parkway, New Castle, where visitation will begin at 10:30 am. Interment will follow in Gracelawn Memorial Park, 2220 N. DuPont Parkway, New Castle.
