Janet E. Anderson, age 92, born in Wilmington, DE on October 9, 1926 departed peacefully on August 17, 2019 following a long illness.

She lived most of her life in the quiet community of Fenwick Island, DE. Janet enjoyed a very active and fulfilling life as a teacher affiliate, librarian, expert quilter, seamstress, and was a very avid reader of books. She spent many hours helping mature adults learn the joy of reading, a source of much happiness for her. The art of quilt making was a great love of hers. She and her group of fellow quilt makers devoted both their skills and time crafting works of art for family, friends and the ill. Her expert skills provided cherished gifts for many family members.

Janet is the beloved wife of her late husband, Edgar F. Anderson.  She is survived by her two children, Barry and Kathy Anderson; six grandchildren, Barry, Joseph, Christopher and Matthew Anderson, and Bud and Christe McGinnis; as well as her brother James T. Ellis. She was also the great-grandmother of nine. She will be missed by all.

Services for her burial will be private.

A Memorial Service will be held on September 14, 2019 @ 12 noon at Ocean View Presbyterian Church 67 Central Ave, Ocean View, DE 19970 (302-539-3455)
