Jeanette M. Clementoni Lyons, age 93, of New Castle, DE, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, January 26, 2022, surrounded by her loving family.
Born in Chadds Ford, PA, on February 10, 1928, she was a daughter of the late Samuel and Louise (Corrado) Cardile.
Jeanette was the old school, devoted Italian mom who welcomed everyone into her home, making sure no one ever left hungry. She was known to be a very caring, strong, and accepting woman. Jeanette had many pleasures in life, including spending summers in Wildwood, doing puzzles, shopping, and enjoying Saturday game nights. Cooking for her family and friends was her passion. The minute you walked through her door, Jeanette was there to welcome you with open arms and always made you feel special. She was truly a beautiful soul and will be dearly missed by everyone who knew her.
In addition to her parents, Jeanette was preceded in death by her loving husband, Alfred “Freddy” Clementoni; son, Nicholas “Nicky” Clementoni; and sisters, Ann Figliola and Frances Hall. She is survived by her daughters, Liz Clementoni and Janet Latzgo (Tony); grandchildren, Dave Snowberger (Stephanie), Chris Ackerson (Lisa), Evelyn Ackerson (Rob), Heather Leary (Eric), and Freddy Clementoni (Marissa); 12 great grandchildren, including Danny Snowberger and Elizabeth Leary, with whom she lived; and many nieces and nephews.
A visitation for family and friends will be held from 12 noon until 1 pm on Friday, February 4, 2022 at Spicer-Mullikin Funeral Home, 1000 North DuPont Parkway, New Castle, DE, where a funeral service will be held at 1 pm. Face coverings will be required for all those in attendance regardless of their vaccination status. Interment will be held privately.

First Time I meet Heathers grandmother and her dad and can’t forget aunt Lizz. They welcomed me into there home like I was family. Her beautiful smile that lights up a room.. Me and heather know each other for 20+ years and still grandmom never forgot about me. I’m sad I couldn’t see her before writing this is hard because it feels like I’m loosing a grandmother all over again.. Sorry my family can’t not be their however I’m so sorry my prayers god gave her beautiful wings that’s so are bright just like she is..
