Jeanne C. Wetzel, age 89, of Bear, DE, passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 22, 2018.

Born in Wilmington, DE on January 14, 1929, she was a daughter of the late John Lambert and Florence (Givens) Clark.  Jeanne was a talented and loving homemaker and also a retired executive secretary.

Jeanne enjoyed watching MSNBC.  She was an avid reader and also loved needlework and cross-stitch.  Above all, she will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother.

In addition to her parents, Jeanne was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Robert J. Wetzel. She is survived by her children, Diane L. Vanderslice (David) of New Castle, Jeffrey A. Stoneberger, Sr. (Judith) of Naples, FL and Jerry W. Stoneberger (Mary) of Newark; grandchildren, Shaun Mullin, Jeffrey Stoneberger, Jr., Aleisha Ball, Brandon Bailey and Jenna Marie Stoneberger; and great grandchildren, Trey, Troy, Aaralynn, Jocelyn, Bella, Caleb, Allison, Colton and Dory.

Services and interment will be held privately.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Jeanne’s name to Sjogren’s Syndrome Foundation, 6707 Democracy Blvd., Suite 325, Bethesda, MD, 20817.
