Jerry Stubbs

Jerry Stubbs, age 83, of New Castle, DE, passed away on Tuesday, August 17, 2021.
Born in Marmet, WV on July 18, 1938, she was the youngest child of the late Bill and Vivian (Staten) Arthur. Jerry worked as a home maker and caregiver for many years, and cherished the ability to care for her family.
In her spare time, Jerry loved traveling to Atlantic City, going shopping, eating out at restaurants and attending concerts. She could often be found solving a crossword puzzle or watching movies and gameshows. Strong in her faith, she also enjoyed spending time reading her bible. More than anything, Jerry cherished her family and any time spent with them.
In addition to her parents, Jerry was preceded in death by her first husband, Roosevelt Toomey; and 8 siblings. She is survived by her husband, John W. Stubbs, Jr.; daughters, Sandra D. Spinken (Frederick) of Newark and Linda L. Crookshank of Tad, WV; 3 grandchildren; and 2 great-grandchildren.
A visitation for family and friends will be held from 12 pm until 1 pm on Wednesday, August 25, 2021 at Spicer-Mullikin Funeral Home, 1000 North DuPont Parkway, New Castle, DE, where a funeral service will begin at 1 pm. Face coverings will be required for all those in attendance not immunized with the COVID-19 vaccine per the Governor of Delaware. Interment will follow in Gracelawn Memorial Park, 2220 North DuPont Highway, New Castle, DE.

Aunt Jerry we will miss you. But rejoice that you are now without pain and able to dance with Jesus and hugging your Mom and brothers and sisters who I am sure are are welcoming you home.
