  • So sorry for your loss…Joel was very kind and he was a great friend to me. I moved down to Delaware and started a job at Catherine Rooney’s and I loved my shifts with Joel…he always made me feel like I had a friend in him at a time I really didn’t know anybody…I moved back to ct in 2015 but we talked almost daily ever since I moved back…it’s strange not having him to talk to…he was a great friend and a wonderful person and I have so many memories that will always be with me when I need a good smile…

  • Joel, we shared a best friend, and had many adventures together along the way. You were one of those rare friends who was also family, and people like that aren’t easy to find. That’s why it’s so hard to lose you.

You always had a sharp mind, a ready retort on your lips, and something witty or wise to say, in every situation. Now that your tongue is stilled, I wish I could find that quality in myself, to say a proper and worthy farewell.

I will keep our last talk in my heart. I’ll spend the rest of my days thinking about all the things I might have said to you. I did get to tell you that you were good people, and I hope you remembered that in your last days.

Big Joel, you had a big heart. You were always a true gentleman. And that is how you will live on in my memory, always.

  • Joel – you will always be remembered. I am eternally grateful for the way you Showed us how to celebrate life.

Joel was like a big brother to me too when I was growing up. He was always there to either help us get away with stuff and sometimes to rat on us, but he could always be counted on for some good, brotherly advice. He will be missed.
