Mr. John H. Neiger, Jr., age 84, of Dover, DE, passed away on Saturday, October 20, 2012.
Born in Taylor, PA, on November 20, 1927, Mr. Neiger was the son of the late John H. Neiger, Sr. and Thelma Louise Hufford Neiger. As a young man, he proudly served his country in the US Navy. In civilian life, he made his career as an electrician with Delmarva Power, where he retired after 32 years of service.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 62 years, Natalie D. Swift Neiger, five children, thirteen grandchildren, and eleven great grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister.
A memorial service will be held at 2 pm on Thursday, October 25, 2012, at the Immanuel Church, 2414 Pennsylvania Avenue, Wilmington. Burial will be held privately in the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Bear.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Wilmington Christian School, 825 Loveville Road, Hockessin, DE 19707.
