Mr. John L. Scannell, Sr., known fondly as “Jack,” age 90, of Newark, DE, passed away on Saturday, April 28, 2012.
A native Delawarean, Mr. Scannell was born in Wilmington on October 22, 1921, son of the late Daniel Scannell and Myrtle Ford Scannell. He proudly served his country in the US Coast Guard during World War II, and, in civilian life, would go on to a long and successful career as a master bricklayer.
