Mr. Jordan James Weister, age 24, of New Castle, DE, passed away at 6:15 pm on Wednesday, November 14, 2012, surrounded by his beloved family.
A native Delawarean, Jordan was born in Wilmington on July 5, 1988. He was well-known throughout his life for his boundless energy, enthusiasm, and optimism. Always the charming life of any party, he delighted in entertaining everyone by quoting favorite movie lines with his family. He was an outstanding pool player, as well. Jordan enjoyed cheering each season for his favorite teams, the Phillies and the Eagles, and was a great fan of the popular local rock band, What Mama Said. He will be greatly missed by the many people who loved him.
Jordan is survived by his parents, James A. Weister and Martha L. Corbin Weister of New Castle; his sister, Amanda L. Smith and her husband Chris and their son Aaron of Newport; his brother, James A. Weister, Jr. and his wife Malinda and their sons Alex and Noah of Chandler, AZ; his brother, Michael A. Weister and his wife Amy and their daughter Brooklynn of Morgantown, WV; and his longtime girlfriend, Amanda Petrucci.
A funeral service will be held at 4 pm on Sunday, November 18, 2012, at the Spicer-Mullikin Funeral Home, 1000 N. DuPont Parkway, New Castle, where visitation will begin at 2 pm.
