Joshua “Josh” Wayne Kennedy

April 9, 1991 - February 26, 2018

Joshua Josh Wayne Kennedy, age 26, of Newark, DE, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, February 26, 2018 and is now reunited with his parents.

Born in Honeybrook, PA on April 9, 1991, he was a son of the late Wayne Charles and Patricia Ann (Buckley) Kennedy.  Josh graduated from Northern High School in Dillsburgh, PA.  For the past five years, he worked for Hibachi Express as a deliveryman.

Josh enjoyed taking on small projects and especially loved working on cars.  Fond memories were made spending time with his two nephews and playing with his dog, Bubba.  Josh loved documentaries of the U.S. Presidents and was an avid Elvis fan.  Quiet in nature, he touched the lives of many and will be dearly missed.

Josh is survived by his brothers, Brian Kennedy (Michelle) and Michael Jewell (Lara); sister, Tiffany Kennedy; two special nephews, Chris, Jr. and Michael C. Jewell; aunt and uncle, Debra A. Clohecy and Gordon Eaton; dear friends, T Klix and Kyle Nadwadny; loving four-legged companion, Bubba; as well as several additional siblings, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.

A visitation for family and friends will be held from 3 pm until 4 pm on Saturday, March 3, 2018 at Spicer-Mullikin Funeral Home, 121 West Park Place, DE, where a time of sharing memories will begin at 4 pm. Interment will be held privately.

In lieu of flowers, donations to help defer funeral costs may be made to the funeral home, 1000 North DuPont Parkway, New Castle, DE, 19720.

  • Josh was a sweet loving person . Always there for my brother Ray. Loved life and was like part of the family. He will be dearly missed. And I’m sorry I can’t be there.
