Mom, We are so sorry for the last nine months, watching you suffer and wishing we could have taken your pain away. Our hearts ache thinking about how much you went through, and we wish so badly we could have done more to ease your pain. We find comfort in knowing you are finally at peace, and we hope you knew how deeply you were loved every single day.
Zoey has been sleeping in your robe, and it brings us a little comfort knowing she feels close to you too. It makes us feel like a piece of you is still here with us.
We miss you already more than words can say, and we will carry you in our hearts forever. We love you always.

Mommom, I’m pretty sure I got all of my orneriness from you. Ever since I was little, you always told me, ‘don’t do anything I wouldn’t do’… which, looking back, explains a lot because I don’t think there was much you wouldn’t do. You made it clear that being a little bad just meant you were doing life right, and I think i’ve inherited your talent for that, which I’ll carry with me forever. But you also taught me how to be a tough woman. You never took any crap, and even in your 80s, you weren’t afraid to speak your mind and you would do it in a split second. I always admired that about you. I hope wherever you are, you’ve already found a bingo hall or a casino and are winning big. I also hope you’re still stirring things up, making and little trouble, and keeping everyone on your toes the way you always did. I love you, and miss you already, and don’t worry, I won’t do anything you wouldn’t do.
