Judith Ann “Judy” Coover

Judith Ann “Judy” Coover, age 76, of New Castle, DE, passed away on Sunday, August 8, 2021.

Born in Wilmington, DE on October 13, 1944, she was a daughter of the late Frederick James and Edna Mae (LaFevre) Coover.

Judy attended New Edge Senior Center. She loved to color and make things with yarn. Judy enjoyed going on trips, especially to Ocean City, NJ to ride the merry go round.  

In addition to her parents, Judy was preceded in death by her sister, Joan Coover; and caregiver, David Johnson. She is survived by her siblings, James (Beth), Jerome (Kristen), John (Jeanne), Joseph (Dawn), Jacqueline (Michael), Joyce (Tim); caregiver for many years, Joyce Ward; and many nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.

A visitation for family and friends will be held from 10 am until 11 am on Friday, August 13, 2021 at Spicer-Mullikin Funeral Home, 1000 N. DuPont Parkway, New Castle, DE, where a funeral service will begin at 11 am. Face coverings will be required for all those in attendance not immunized with the COVID-19 vaccine per the Governor of Delaware. Interment will follow in Gracelawn Memorial Park, 2220 North DuPont Highway, New Castle, DE.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Judy’s memory to the Wilmington Manor Fire Company, P.O. Box 645, New Castle, DE 19720.

    Judy. You were always such a joy to be around. You were funny, stubborn and sassy. I will always cherish the memories of the holidays n time swimming in the pool with you. Hving to watch your face light up on the merry go round in OC was priceless. I sure hope there is a merry go round waiting for you. You were an awesome sister in law that loved everyone.   • Judy Judy Judy…, I’m so lost for words still I’m sorry that you left us so soon. I will always remember your laughter and fun times I shared with you. I remember all of us Nieces and Nephews used to love being in the pool with you and mom mom and you enjoying your LifeSavors and country Holiday Music.
