Kathleen Peden Wessells

Mrs. Kathleen Peden Wessells, age 73, of New Castle, DE, formerly of Bellefonte, passed away on Saturday, September 24, 2011.
A native Delawarean, Mrs. Wessells was born in New Castle on June 18, 1938, daughter of the late John A. Peden, Sr. and Beatrice M. Ritter Peden. She was a homemaker throughout her life and, with her husband, served on the committee for Boy Scout Troop #72 for many years.
She was preceded in death by her husband, George M. Wessells, in 1995, and a brother, Michael D. Peden, Sr. She is survived by her sons, W. Andrew Wessells, Sr. (Harriet) of Delaware City and Christopher M. Wessells (Regina) of New Castle; brothers, Gregory G. Peden (Susan) and John A. Peden, Jr. of New Castle; sisters, Beatrice Grodzicki (William) and Rosemary Neville (Jeffrey) of Wilmington; sister-in-law, Maryann Peden of Wilmington; 8 grandchildren; and 4 great grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held at 11 am on Friday, September 30, 2011, at Gracelawn Memorial Park, 2220 N. DuPont Parkway, New Castle.
