Kathleen T. “Kathy” Kelleher

Kathleen T. “Kathy” Kelleher, age 80, of Middletown, DE, passed away peacefully on Friday, March 20, 2026. She was surrounded by her family.
Born in Wilmington, DE, on August 30, 1945, she was a daughter of the late Harper James and Margaret (Durr) Culley. Kathy started her career in medical administration at Wilmington General Hospital, and later as a realtor in Connecticut. When her family returned to Delaware, she worked by her husband’s side at Kelleher Enterprises until their retirement.
Kathy loved traveling and always looked forward to going on cruises. She enjoyed summers at her family’s beach residence in Fenwick Island, Delaware. Kathy was strong in her faith as a devout Catholic. Her most cherished moments were spent with her family and friends. Kathy will always be remembered as a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother.
In addition to her parents, Kathy was preceded in death by her siblings, Jane Schultz and James “Sonny” Harper Culley. She is survived by her loving husband of 61 years, James W. Kelleher; children, Margie Shepheard (Randy, Sr.), James W. Kelleher II, and Jennifer Kelleher; grandchildren, Brian Kelleher, Randy Shepheard Jr., Hanna Quintin, Katelyn Shepheard, James W. Kelleher III, and Ashlyn Kelleher; and great-grandchildren, Carter, Johanna, Brady, and Bennett.
A visitation for family and friends will be held from 10 am until 11 am on Friday, March 27, 2026, at St. Margaret of Scotland Parish, 2431 Frazer Road, Newark, DE 19702, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 11 am. Entombment will follow in All Saints Cemetery, 6001 Kirkwood Highway, Wilmington, DE.
