Kylie L. Yarnall, age 32, of Middletown, DE, passed away on Saturday, December 29, 2018.

Born in Newark, DE on November 2, 1986, she was a daughter of Wayne M. and the late Diana L. (Smith) Yarnall. Kylie worked as a server and bartender at Odessa National Golf Club in Odessa and the former VFW Post in Augustine Beach.

Growing up, Kylie was involved in 4H and enjoyed raising pigs. She had a passion for animals, especially her dog, Blue. Strong willed and determined, Kylie went through college and graduated with her bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice, all while pregnant, giving birth and being a Mommy to her daughter and love, Payton. Kylie enjoyed life, especially spending time in Dewey Beach, going to concerts, riding motorcycles (she even had her own bike at one point) and socializing with friends.

In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by her grandmother, Judith Quay and grandfathers, William Yarnall and Kenneth Smith. Kylie is survived by her daughter, Payton Yarnall; father, Wayne Yarnall; sisters, Brooke Yarnall (Stephen Berkey) and Amanda Kerr (Kristopher); grandmother, Christine Yarnall; grandfather, Frank Quay; three nieces; one nephew; and many other family and friends.

A Celebration of Life will be held from 12 pm until 3 pm on Wednesday, January 9th, 2019, at Schaefer’s Canal House, 208 Bank St, Chesapeake City, MD.

In lieu of flowers, contributions are appreciated to the Payton Yarnall Memorial Fund, care of Spicer-Mullikin Funeral Home, 1000 North DuPont Parkway, New Castle, DE 19720.

  • Kylie was always a spitfire and full of life. I remember her as a laughing, inquisitive little girl who said what she was thinking. She remained that person at heart and I will miss her. I am proud to call her my cousin and lucky to have known her. Until we meet again Kylie.
