Leah A. Malinowski

Mrs. Leah A. Malinowski, age 84, of Newark, DE, passed away on Tuesday, September 18, 2012, surrounded by her loving family.
Mrs. Malinowski was a native of Newark, born on October 30, 1927, daughter of the late Harry W. Harris and Vera L. O’Conner Harris. A talented and resourceful homemaker, she devoted her life to caring for her beloved husband, daughters, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She was an especially gifted cook and was at her happiest when hosting or attending large, joyous family gatherings. In her leisure hours, she greatly enjoyed reading.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jesse Malinowski, and her brother, Matthew L. Harris. She is survived by her devoted daughters, Barbara A. Coleman (Carlos) of Newark, and Joanne Crockett (Norman) of Rising Sun, MD; her brother, Harry W. Harris of Newark; four granddaughters; and nine great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 6 pm to 8 pm on Friday, September 21, 2012, at the Spicer-Mullikin Funeral Home, 121 W. Park Place, Newark. A funeral service will be held at 10 am on Saturday, September 22, 2012, at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Silverbrook Cemetery, Lancaster Ave. and DuPont Rd., Wilmington.
