Leroy Allen “Lee” Hand, age 71, of Newark, DE, passed away on Monday, September 10, 2018.
Born in Hammonton, NJ, on January 26, 1947, he was a son of the late Mary (Stiles) Hand. Lee worked for ACME for 25 years. Prior to retiring, he worked as their dairy manager.
He enjoyed being home where he loved spending time with his wife and beloved pets, Nascar, Dyson and Coco. In his spare time Lee enjoyed watching NASCAR, the Dallas Cowboys, fishing and vegetable gardening.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Charles and Wayne Hand. He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Ann Marie (Conroy) Hand; daughter, Jennifer Lassiter; sister-in-law, Joyce Brown; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Dominic and Cathy DiPiero; 3 grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews and dear friends.
A visitation for family and friends will be held from 6 pm until 7 pm on Thursday, September 20, 2018, at Spicer-Mullikin Funeral Home, 1000 North DuPont Parkway, New Castle, DE, where a memorial service will begin at 7 pm. Interment will be held privately.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Lee’s memory to Faithful Friends, 12 Germay Drive, Wilmington, DE 19804.
