A few years later, she became a US citizen. The marriage lasted for 12 years, and after her divorce, she put herself through school to become a court reporter, working for Ellie Corbett and Associates in Philadelphia. Lis retired at age 62, and spent time traveling and enjoying the countryside.
She is survived by two daughters, Karen Lis Colon and Nina Lee Vaughn (Martin Wayne Vaughn); one grandson, Jason Colon; and two step grandsons, John Martin Vaughn and Anthony Wayne Vaughn; and three great great grandchildren.
