Lisa Marie Davis
July 17, 1972 - September 29, 2020
Lisa Marie Davis, age 48, of Bear, DE, passed away on Tuesday, September 29, 2020.
Born in Wilmington, DE on July 17, 1972, she was a daughter of Norman Joseph Davis, Jr. and Deborah Mae (Bungo) Kenney. Lisa graduated from Delcastle Technical High School in 1990. Following her graduation, she started her 30-year career with Nephrology Associates, where she worked until her passing.
To all who were fortunate enough to know her, Lisa was an instant friend and a kind and thoughtful soul who found joy in putting others before herself. Whether it be taking care of her beloved sons Brandon and Bryce who brought her endless joy and pride; building a life of love and laughter with her husband Mark; spending time with her family or caring for her “work family” at Nephrology Associates…Lisa’s bright smile and nurturing spirit brought joy to everyone she knew in ways that will live in our hearts forever.
Mark and Lisa’s paths were meant to cross, as if each were looking for the missing piece that would make them whole. In each other they found their true soulmate and built a life with a house full of their beautiful blended family where laughter and a touch of good-natured silliness always filled the air.
Lisa loved being near the water. A day with a sea breeze in her hair and toes in the sand was her perfect place. It could be a relaxing evening on the Chesapeake with Mark and friends dining outdoors with live music as the sun gently set; hectic days in Wildwood, NJ with her beautiful children, siblings, nieces and nephews racing between the pool and beach; Ocean City, MD for a romantic weekend with Mark or any place where water, sand, live music, family, and friends came together. When a beach was not available Lisa turned her backyard into the perfect outdoor oasis that welcomed all with her loving hospitality. Lisa’s love of water and sharing precious moments with family and friends was about to chart a new course to the open seas with her first boat slipping softly into the Chesapeake just a few weeks ago. “Boo’s Cruise” was to be her next “perfect place” to share her contagious laugh and smile, entertain and watch beautiful sunsets with Mark and her boys for years to come.
Lisa’s loving heart was evident in her nurturing spirit. Her warm smile and hug welcomed you in not only to her home, but forever into her heart. She took joy and pleasure in making others smile and making sure they were comfortable in every possible way. Her bright and beautiful smile truly lit up any room she entered. Always willing to help anyone at any time, Lisa will forever be remembered for her hug and loving heart. She was the heart and soul of her family. Lisa was the most caring and loving person you could ever meet. She will be dearly missed by all the many lives she touched in her short 48 years.
In addition to her mother and father, Lisa is survived by her loving husband of 3 years, Mark Ira Ginsberg; children, Bryce Zoladkiewicz and Brandon Zoladkiewicz who will be lovingly cared for by their father Ronald Zoladkiewicz Jr. (Mindy); stepchildren, Joshua Ginsberg, Gabriela Ginsberg and Alexa Ginsberg; siblings, Sherri Brooks (Russell), Kim Zoladkiewicz, Gina Davis and Nick Davis; stepmother, Cheryl Davis; stepfather, Michael Kenney; one stepbrother; several stepsisters; many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends; and Bailey, who Lisa affectionately called “Boo Boo”, who was her loving four-legged companion.
For everyone who knew, loved and cherished Lisa… she will be with us forever in our hearts and with us always. When you are at the beach and a sea breeze gently caresses your cheek, it may be Lisa’s hand letting you know “I am with you”. When a star in the evening sky seems to shine a little brighter than all the others, it may be Lisa’s dazzling smile reaching out from the heavens. When the summer sun sets serenely into the horizon, and the sea and the sky come together as if perfectly orchestrated in a beautiful ballet of color, it may be Lisa’s spirit whispering “I am here”, watching over us and providing a blanket of peace, comfort and serenity. Love goes on forever, and our love for you Lisa will last for eternity.
A visitation for family and friends will be held from 4 pm until 6 pm on Saturday, October 10, 2020, at Spicer-Mullikin Funeral Home, 1000 North DuPont Parkway, New Castle, DE. Face masks will be required for all in attendance. Services and interment will be held privately.

My thoughts and prayers are with all of Lisa’s family and loved ones. She was the sweetest and kind person. I remember working at Nephrology Associates and being a graduate myself of Delcastle High, I suggested bringing in a co-op. Lisa was our very first one and couldn’t have been any better. Following Lisa we had her wonderful sister Sherri. Lisa stayed on and grew into such a lovely young woman who was kind, thoughtful and just beautiful inside and out. Even though we lost touch, she will always be in my memories and never forgotten. Again, to the Davis family, her beautiful children, her loving husband, I’m so sorry for your loss. Lisa will always be an angel.
