Lorraine C. McDaniel, age 100, of Wilmington, DE, passed away on Tuesday, February 27, 2024.

Born in Fredericksburg, TX on February 22, 1924, she was a daughter of the late Arnold H. and Lina (Franzen) Kneese. Early in life, Lorraine worked for the United States Government. She later worked as a property manager and accountant for several companies throughout her career.

Lorraine could often be found feeding the birds and squirrels, or tending to her garden where she grew beautiful African Violets. She enjoyed spending her free time bowling or studying nutrition. Most of all, Lorraine loved spending time with her family.

In addition to her parents, Lorraine was preceded in death by her husband, Edward R. McDaniel; daughters, Tina Eisenhauer and Karen McDaniel; 4 brothers; and 3 sisters. She is survived by her son, Alan R. McDaniel (Debbie Davidson); son-in-law, Dave Eisenhauer; grandchildren, Candice, Tara McAllister (Jon), Wallace Eisenhauer (Christine), Kyle, and Aaron McDaniel (Kristen); great-grandchildren, Parker, Ellie, Hayden, Avery, Lillian, Nash, and Crew; and several nieces.

A visitation for family and friends will be held from 10 am until 11 am on Saturday, March 16, 2024, at Spicer-Mullikin Funeral Home, 1000 North DuPont Parkway, New Castle, DE, where a funeral service will begin at 11 am. Interment will be held privately in Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery.
