Margaret E. “Peg” DuRoss

April 9, 1932 - January 25, 2020

          Margaret E. “Peg” DuRoss, age 87, of Wilmington, DE, passed away on Saturday, January 25, 2020.

          Born in Wilmington, DE on April 9, 1932, she was the daughter of the late Chester and Frances (Morris) Teague.  Peg worked in sales and enjoyed helping others in various jobs during her career.

          She had a keen eye for arts and crafts, especially fond of sewing, painting and crocheting.  Peg loved to decorate and took great pride in her home.  Earlier in her life, she enjoyed horseback riding.  Above all she loved life, her family and will be missed by many.

          In addition to her parents, Peg was preceded in death by her husband, Bill DuRoss.  She is survived by her children, Linda Markham (Tom) of Lusby, MD, Sandy Johnson of Newark, DE and Paul Lorzier of Gainesville, FL; brothers, Ronald Teague (Millie) of Bear, DE and Butch Teague (Betsy) of Fairmont, FL; grandchildren, MaryAnn and Robert; and great grandchildren, Gabriella and RJ.

          A visitation for family and friends will be held from 12 noon until 1 pm on Wednesday, January 29, 2020, at Spicer-Mullikin Funeral Home, 1000 North DuPont Parkway, New Castle, DE, where a funeral service will begin at 1 pm.  Interment will follow in Gracelawn Memorial Park, 2220 North DuPont Parkway, New Castle, DE.

          In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Peg’s memory to First Baptist Church of Ogden, 2446 Mill Road, Upper Chichester, PA 19061.

  • I just met Peggy a few weeks ago at Ogden Baptist Church as my husband & I are new there. She was so welcoming & kind. I related to her right away as we talked of sewing. What a sweet lady.
