Margaret I. Moore, age 79, of San Tan Valley, AZ and formerly of New Castle, DE, passed away peacefully on Friday, September 7, 2018, surrounded by her loving son and daughter-in-law.

Born in Summerset County, England, on July 10, 1939, she was a daughter of the late Ralph and Leta Joyce (Dawe) Hallett. In 1964, Margaret began working at the New Castle Farmer’s Market in a lingerie store and later worked for Golden Time Jewelers. She loved spending time with her family, especially her sisters, grandchildren and great grandchildren. In her spare time, Margaret enjoyed visits to Delaware Park.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert A. Moore, Sr.; daughter, Pamela J. Krygier; and brothers, Stanley Hallett, Percy Hallett and Bernard Hallett. She is survived by her son, Robert A. Moore, Jr. (Lynda); brothers, Henry Hallett, Peter Hallett, Clifford Hallett and Ivor Hallett; sisters, Shirley Williams and Hazel Baronoski; 4 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren; and her cat, Tigress.

A visitation for family and friends will be held from 6 pm until 8 pm on Monday, September 17, 2018, at Spicer-Mullikin Funeral Home, 1000 North DuPont Parkway, New Castle, DE. A second visitation will be held from 10 am until 11 am on Tuesday, September 18, 2018, at the Chapel in Gracelawn Memorial Park, 2220 North DuPont Parkway, New Castle, DE, where a funeral service will begin at 11 am. Interment will follow in the adjoining cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Margaret’s name to the Alzheimers Association, 399 Market Street, Ste. 102, Philadelphia, PA 19106.

  • Mommom…. you will forever be in my heart… and the hearts of your great-grand children Julia Kirkpatrick and Nickolas Krygier. From a very young age we had a close knit bond and that close bond then carried on to Nick. Nick could do no wrong. Lol…. We were one anothers worlds. A week didnt go bye that we didnt spend time together. From weekly dinners to days upon days of endless sleep overs you were always by our side. Our love for you was like no other. Eddie, Nick, Julia and I were always there for you when no one else was. We gave you the best love and care family could of given. The memories we made are unforgettable, especially the last 3 years! Mom-mom…. you will forever be in our hearts, minds, and souls. Reast easy… we will be together again one day.
