Mrs. Martha E. Galloway, age 87, of Martinsburg, PA, formerly of Chelsea Estates in New Castle, DE, and of Holiday, FL, passed away on Wednesday, February 16, 2011, at her home.

Born in Prospect Park, PA, on April 9, 1923, Mrs. Galloway was the daughter of the late Stanley McFee Lynch and Dorothy Furman Lynch. She made her career with the DuPont Company, working as a professional secretary for 25 years until her retirement from the Chestnut Run site in 1982. With her husband, she retired for a time to Holiday, FL, where she was a member of the Delaware Club, before returning north to be near to her family. While living in Martinsburg, she was a member of Christ Church in Roaring Spring, PA.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, T. Bruce Galloway, in 1999. She is survived by her children, Bruce A. Galloway (Debbie) of New Castle, DE, Debbie Tyler (Wayne) of Holiday, FL, and Dorothy Wineland (Archie) of Roaring Spring, PA; 7 grandchildren; and 8 great grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held at 11 am on Monday, February 21st, at the Spicer-Mullikin Funeral Home, 1000 N. DuPont Parkway, New Castle, DE, where visitation will begin at 10 am. Interment will follow in Gracelawn Memorial Park, 2220 N. DuPont Parkway, New Castle, DE.
