Mary Lee Seward

Mary Lee Seward, age 97, of Newark, DE passed away peacefully on Friday, October 15, 2021.

Born in Richmond, VA, on April 22, 1924, she was a daughter of the late Rodney C. and Carol (Taylor) Berry, Sr. Mary Lee was a talented homemaker for many years who cherished taking care of her family. In her spare time, she enjoyed floral arranging and gardening. Mary Lee was an early adopter of computers and the internet. She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, and will be missed by all who knew her.

In addition to her parents, Mary Lee is preceded in death by her loving husband of 65 years, Minor Carey Seward; son, Richard G. Seward; siblings, Rodney C. Berry and Keith T. Berry; and granddaughter, Anna Seward. She is survived by her sons, Michael C. Seward (Jolene L.) of Beaufort, SC, David L. Seward (Pam) of Rock Hill, SC, and Robert M. Seward (Cami) of Newark; grandchildren, Marian Seward, Paul Seward, Hadley Seward, Lee Seward Anderson, Rob Seward, and Carey Seward; and 7 great-grandchildren.

All services will be held privately.
