Melloney L. (Henline) McClain

Mrs. Melloney L. McClain, age 74, of New Castle, DE, passed away at home on Sunday, May 13, 2012, while surrounded by her loving family.
Mrs. McClain was born in Burnsville, WV, on February 3, 1938. A talented homemaker and wonderful cook, she devoted her life to caring for her family and friends. She especially enjoyed watching her favorite sports teams, the Phillies and Eagles. She loved playing bingo and bargain shopping. Melloney was very giving of herself through her love and caring for others and unselfish generosity.
Mrs. McClain was a devout Christian and a longtime, active member of New Castle Free Will Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Charles R. McClain; daughters, Sophia L. Grim (James) of Elkton, MD, Janice M. Dignan (Michael) of Wilmington, and Robin L. Phillips (Michael) of LaPlata, MD; siblings, Douglas Henline of Normantown, WV, Dwight Henline of Burnsville, WV, Barbara Anson of Burnsville, WV, and Olive Lemon of Gassaway, WV; grandchildren, Stephanie (Michelle), Belinda (Kevin), Stacy (Jason), Zachary (Danielle), Emily (Ty), Dylan, Savannah, and Johnathan; great grandchildren, Jackson, Lily, Ethan, Amya, Madison, and Riley; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, Amos L. Henline, mother, Mabel Miller Eagle, sisters, Olive Brannon and Belinda Henline, and brothers, Charles, James, Pat, Jake, and John Henline.
A funeral service will be held at 11 am on Saturday, May 19, 2012, in the chapel of Gracelawn Memorial Park, 2220 N. DuPont Parkway, New Castle, where visitation will begin at 10 am. Interment will follow in the adjoining memorial park.
