Michael J. Worsley, Sr., age 64, of Wilmington, DE, passed away on Saturday, August 7, 2021.
Born in Salina, KS on August 20, 1956, he was a son of the late Jason Jefferson and Sally Janet (Yadon) Worsley. Michael was raised in Frankfort, KT, and later relocated to Delaware.
Michael graduated Middletown High School, class of 1975. After graduation, he was a foreman groom for the Delaware Park Race Track. Michael would have celebrated his 21st year sober this year on his birthday.
In addition to his parents, Michael was preceded in death by his brother, Joseph Worsley. He is survived by his son, Michael J. Worsley, Jr.; siblings, Sean Worsley and Rose Marie Riley (Martin); and his close friend, Debbie Markland.
A visitation for family and friends will be held from 11 am until 12 pm on Tuesday, August 24, 2021 at Spicer-Mullikin Funeral Home, 1000 North DuPont Parkway, New Castle, DE. A graveside service will follow at Gracelawn Memorial Park, 2220 North DuPont Parkway, New Castle, DE. Face coverings will be required for all those in attendance not immunized with the COVID-19 vaccine per the Governor of Delaware.
