Michael John Kelly

Michael John Kelly, age 62, passed away on Tuesday, August 21, 2018.
Born in Del Rio, TX, on February 13, 1956, he was a son of the late James and Jean (Robinson) Kelly. Michael proudly served 14 years in the US Navy and Navy Reserves. He dedicated 20 years to working in the electronics field with SEPTA, before his retirement in 2015. Michael enjoyed the outdoors.
Michael is survived by his partner, Christina Patrus; children, Sarah Kelly (Michael Fehr) of Glenmoore, PA and Corporal Sean Kelly of San Diego, CA; brothers, Kevin Kelly (Kathy) and Pat Kelly (Kathy); sisters, Kathy Gardner (William) and Maureen Cooler; and grandchildren, James, Leighton and Nathaniel.
A visitation for family and friends will be held from 10 am until 12 noon on Monday, August 27, 2018, at Spicer-Mullikin Funeral Home, 121 West Park Place, Newark, DE, where a funeral service will begin at 12 noon. Interment will be held privately.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Michael’s name to the Alpha-1 Foundation, 3300 Ponce De Leon Blvd, Coral Gables, FL 33134.
