Michael Wayne Robinson, age 53, of New Castle, DE, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 27, 2016.

Born in Wilmington, DE on October 18, 1962, Mike was a son of the late Melvin A. and Mary Lou (Norris) Robinson.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his siblings, Barbara Dommel and David Robinson; nephews, Brian Connelly, Scott Grabusky (Jodi), and their families. Mike was a devoted employee of Stapleford’s of Wilmington for many years. He was an avid fisherman, a pastime that he loved dearly.

A funeral service will be held at 12:00 noon on Monday afternoon, February 1, 2016, at the Spicer-Mullikin Funeral Home, 1000 North DuPont Parkway, New Castle, DE, where a visitation will be held from 11:00 am until 12:00 noon. Burial will follow in Gracelawn Memorial Park, 2220 North DuPont Parkway, New Castle. DE.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Delaware Hospice, 16 Polly Drummond Road, 2nd Floor, Newark, DE, 19711.

  • I met Mike at Jones Atlantic (a place where an after work brew was often shared by friends). He was a kind person who liked helping people, who I think liked being ribbed by my wife. I just saw him during the Christmas holidays. I will miss running into him in my travels. Rest in peace.
