Michael William “Mike” Fowler, age 66, of Middletown, DE, passed away on Sunday, February 15, 2026.

Born in Philadelphia, PA on May 19, 1959, he was a son of the late Everett Keith and Joan (Davis) Fowler. Mike was a graduate of William Penn High School. He then enlisted in the United States Air Force, proudly serving in Arizona and later, Germany. Mike made his career in various sales positions, and will mostly be remembered for his carpentry skills.

Mike enjoyed spending football season cheering on the Philadelphia Eagles. He found peace in the outdoors, and always looked forward to camping, fishing and crabbing. Mike loved venturing to Florida on special occasions to fish. He was a talented artist, finding great joy in painting and drawing, a gift he shared with his children. Mike enjoyed music and making great memories with a dear family friend, Brianna.

In addition to his parents, Mike was preceded in death by his brother, John Fowler. He is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Deborah Lynn (Downward) Fowler; children, Christina Piccirillo, Michael Fowler (Robin), and Melissa Fowler (Elliott); brothers, Scott Fowler (Mitzi) and Mark Fowler; sister-in-law, Debbie Fowler; grandchildren, Cassandra, James, Reese, Aidan, Cameron, Dominic, and Robbie; great-granddaughter, Dixie; mother-in-law, Grace Downward; father-in-law, Tom Downward; and many close friends.

A visitation for family and friends will be held from 10 am until 11 am on Tuesday, February 24, 2025, at Spicer-Mullikin Funeral Home, 1000 North DuPont Parkway, New Castle, DE, where a funeral service will begin at 11 am. Interment will follow in Gracelawn Memorial Park, 2220 North DuPont Highway, New Castle, DE.
