Michele Eder - Spicer-Mullikin Funeral Homes & Crematory

Michele Eder

April 2, 1971 - October 12, 2022

On October 12, 2022, Michele Eder, beloved wife and mother, passed away at the age of 51.  Born in Seaford, Delaware on April 2, 1971, she was a daughter of Dennis and Carlteen Diehl.  As a child Michele loved dancing, skating, and spending time with her family.  She graduated valedictorian from high school.  In 1994 her greatest gift came and she became a mother.  Kayleigh was her everything and greatest joy.

In 2011, Michele married her “prince” Jeffrey Eder.  They loved each other deeply, were best friends and true soulmates.  As a bonus, Jeff had two daughters, Kristin and Britanee, along with a dog, Pumpkin.  In 2013, Michele was blessed with becoming a grandma to Aspen, whom she adored.

Michele was ambitious and determined.  One of her biggest accomplishments was graduating from Delaware Technical Community College as a registered nurse in 2015.  Her compassionate heart made her perfect for her job at Delaware Hospice.  She was passionate about her work and was amazing at it.  Sadly, her health started to challenge her and she had to step away from her career long before she was ready to.

Michele truly cherished her family and friends.  They meant the absolute world to her.  She was preceded in death by her precious daughter, Victoria Gabrielle Stephens; her grandparents, Carlton and Mary Louise King; and her darling Pumpkin.

Michele is survived by her husband, Jeffrey Eder; daughter, Kayleigh Satterfield; stepdaughters, Kristin Nichols (Justin) and Britanee Eder; granddaughter, Aspen Nichols; parents, Dennis and Carlteen Diehl; brother, James Diehl (Jelai); sister, Tabitha Nichols (David); nieces, Christina Diehl, Kaia and Remi Nichols; niece and goddaughter, Isabella Diehl; nephews, Liam and Cullen Nichols and Archer Diehl; and also her beloved pups, Shelby Grace and Luna Bella.

A visitation for family and friends will be held from 11:00 am until 12:00 pm on Thursday, October 20, 2022, at St. John’s United Methodist Church, 300 North Pine Street, Seaford, DE, where a funeral service will begin at 12:00 pm. Interment will follow in Odd Fellows Cemetery, 514 3rd Street, Seaford, DE.
