Miriam W. Brown

Miriam W. Brown, age 88, of Newark, DE, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family on Saturday, November 9, 2019.

Born in Butler, PA on August 25, 1931, she was the daughter of the late William Herbert and Gladys Glenn (Wingfield) Beattie, Sr. Miriam was a talented homemaker and loved being a mother. She was an avid reader and enjoyed being a Christiana Mall walker for 20 years. Miriam loved her two cats Yum-Yum and Ko-Ko. She also liked to travel the world with her husband, as well as visit her grandchildren throughout the United States.

In addition to her parents, Miriam was preceded in death by her son, Paul Brown; brother, William H. Beattie, Jr.; and aunt, Dorothy Claire Mossbauer. She is survived by her loving husband of 64 years, Ronald Edward Brown; children, Richard Brown, Linda Brown, Gregg Brown, Kurt Brown and Katherine Siberski; 12 grandchildren; and 19 great grandchildren.

All services were held privately with interment at Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery.
