Monica R. Foraker, age 67, of New Castle, DE, passed away on Wednesday, February 21, 2024.
Born in Newark, DE on September 15, 1956, she was the daughter of the late Jesse and Florence (Marek) Gawczynski.
Monica enjoyed cooking; she would often make delicious meals. She was also very nurturing by nature, it brightened her day to care for and tend to her household plants. More than anything else, Monica treasured being a grandmother and making memories with her precious grandchildren.
Monica is survived by her children, John C. Foraker (Velora) and Jessica A. Thompson (Darrelle) and grandchildren, Isaiah, Donovan, Adrianna, Christopher, Jamison, Julianna and Violet.
A visitation for family and friends will be held from 10 am until 11 am on Wednesday, February 28, 2024, at Spicer-Mullikin Funeral Home, 1000 North DuPont Parkway, New Castle, DE, where a memorial service will begin at 11 am. Interment will be held privately.
