Mrs. Muriel A. Cole, age 96, of Wilmington, DE, formerly of Rambleton Acres in New Castle, passed away on Wednesday, April 17, 2013.
Mrs. Cole was born in Wilmington on February 28, 1917, daughter of the late Edman P. Devenney and Margaret H. Sproule Devenney. Her life was devoted to taking care of others: her parents, her husband’s mother, her husband, and siblings.
Her husband, Howard W. Cole, passed away in 1988. She was also preceded in death by siblings, Edman Devenney, Ken Devenney, Rose Rowe, Adele Schilling, and Thelma Bartsch. She is survived by her daughter, Sharon J. Hiebert and husband Ernest Leon Hiebert, grandson, Doron Hiebert, and great granddaughter, Taelyn. She is also survived by nephews and nieces, Nick Devenney and his sister Peggy in Arizona, Marti Shockley of Maryland, Denny Rowe of Alabama, Jim Rowe of Delaware, Donna Reda of Delaware, Faye Varner of Pennsylvania, and Neil Bartsch of Delaware.
A memorial service will be held at 10 am on Wednesday, April 24th, at the chapel of Gracelawn Memorial Park, 2220 N. DuPont Parkway, New Castle. Interment will follow in the adjoining memorial park.
