Nancy J. (Bennett) Levely
August 20, 1942 - February 23, 2019
Nancy J. (Bennett) Levely, age 76, of Newark, DE, passed away on Saturday, February 23, 2019.
Born in Frankfort, WV on August 20, 1942, she was the daughter of the late LaDora and Genevieve (Wharton) Bennett. Nancy worked in the accounts receivable department at the University of Delaware for over 23 years.
She was a member of Grace Church in Milton, DE for many years and was very active with their bible study. Nancy was a very quiet and reserved woman, yet she lovingly took care of everyone. In her spare time, she enjoyed going on cruises, listening to music, and collecting elephants.
In addition to her parents, Nancy was preceded by her loving husband, Edward R. Levely; son, Bill Mayes; and brothers, James and Larry Bennett. She is survived by her sons, Keith and Phillip Mayes; daughter, Linda Langley; brother, John Bennett; grandson, Blake Mayes; and granddaughter, Heather Mayes.
A committal service will be held at 1 pm on Tuesday, March 5, 2019, at the Delaware Veterans Memorial Chapel, 2465 Chesapeake City Road, Bear, DE 19701.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, P.O. Box 96011, Washington, DC 20090-6011 or to the American Cancer Society, 92 Read’s Way, Suite 205, New Castle, DE 19720.

So sorry to hear of the passing of Nancy. Ted, Nancy and I shared many pleasant times together when Ted & I were in he Air Guard, I fondly remember the good times at the Officers Club as well as the few days we spent together at the inauguration of President Reagan in Washington D.C.. God Bless you Nancy and may you Rest In Peace with Ted.
