Nancy S. Abe, age 85, of Wilmington, DE, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loved ones on Monday, March 19, 2018.
Born in Wilmington, DE on October 26, 1932, she was the daughter of the late Harold S. and Kate (Lord) Stanley. Nancy graduated as valedictorian from Newark High School. She dedicated her career with Avon Products, where she met her late husband Deskin W. Abe, Jr. Nancy was very devoted to her family and friends.
In addition to her parents, Nancy was preceded in death by husband Deskin W. Abe, Jr.; and son, John Michael Lehman. She is survived by her daughters, Gail Laughrun, Donna Brown, Jonna Pusey; son, Brian Abe; 12 grandchildren; and 20 great grandchildren. Nancy had a loving family and many friends who will miss her dearly.
A visitation for family and friends will be held from 1 pm until 2 pm on Friday, March 30, 2018 at Spicer-Mullikin Funeral Home, 121 West Park Place, Neware, DE, where a memorial service will follow. Interment will be held privately.

Nancy was one of my best friends in high school. I will miss her. My husband, Paul Hodgson, is in a long-term care facility in Middletown.. My days are spent with him. So I may not be able to come to honor her on Good Friday. Paul expects me to be with him all the time. If I am unable to be at the funeral parlor on Friday, I will certainly be thinking of Nancy and her family. I’m sure they have loving memories of her.
