March 28, 1973 - February 8, 2021

Natalie Greene, age 47, of Delaware City, Delaware, joined our Lord in Heaven February 8, 2021, after a brief fight with cancer. A native family of Delaware and an Army “brat” she was born on March 28, 1973, at Fort Huachuca Military Hospital in Sierra Vista, Arizona to the late James L. (Sonny) and Margaretta (Carpenter) Greene (Peggy).

Natalie was a dedicated mother and homemaker. She worked various jobs including the State of Delaware in nursing and later joined Fleet Services while obtaining her business degree. Natalie and her son opened a family business, “No Holds Barred” which mostly served as Commercial and Residential Preservation and Conservation businesses. At the encouragement of many residence, she also served as Delaware City Councilwoman (2016-2018). During her many adventures over the years, she was able to develop and enjoy an abundance of close, genuine and lifetime relationships. Natalie could be described as salty and sweet, while being the most kind, caring, compassionate and loyal friend and sister, she could also be harshly direct, protective and aggressive, you loved or hated her, but mostly loved her!

Natalie was proceeded in death by her mother, Margaretta Carpenter Greene (1995); brothers, Dean William Greene (2002) and Robert “Bucky” Greene (2020); and father, James L Greene (2014). She is survived by her children, Anthony and Akosha Carter; brother, Derrick Greene; aunt, Alma “Chi Chi” Reynolds; cousin, JJ Reynolds, the Leonards, Mahers, Fosters, Blooms and Swansons; adoptive family, James Harding (Bugs), Kris, Tawan and Anthony Carter, Angela Foster, Peter and Tammi Kapuscinski, Tom, Cathy and TJ Johnson, Tina Scarfo, Buddy, Ellie and Brittany Loveland, Kelly McVery Patterson, and Karen Reyes; as well as many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Due to Covid, with strict adherence to CDC guidelines (social distance, masks, etc), an abbreviated walk-through visitation will be held at Delaware City Presbyterian Church, 138 Jefferson Street, Delaware City, DE 19706, on Saturday, February, 20, 2021, from 1 pm until 3 pm, for those who would like to pay their respect and condolences. Interment will be private.
