Nedra K. Jennings

Mrs. Nedra K. Jennings, age 80, of New Castle, DE, passed away on Monday, April 16, 2012.
Mrs. Jennings was born in McComas, WV on February 13, 1932, daughter of the late Robert Parcell and Mabel Johnston Parcell. A talented homemaker throughout her life, she greatly enjoyed cooking wonderful meals for her family and her many friends. She was an especially gifted seamstress as well, designing and making many of her own clothes and clothes for her family. Among her many hobbies, she enjoyed creating lovely ceramic art pieces and playing the piano.
A seasoned traveler for many years, Mrs. Jennings delighted in taking interesting trips and going camping with her husband.
A loving wife, mother, and grandmother, she is survived by her beloved husband of 61 years, Ted L. Jennings; children, Jerome L. Jennings (Cynthia) of Gurnee, IL, Constance J. Ballato (Carl) of Lewes, Steven P. Jennings of Wilmington, and Kevin G. Jennings (Cindi) of Wilmington; grandchildren, Erin, Erica, Christina, David, Kate, Angela, Bryan, Matthew, and Dan; and seven great grandchildren. A son, David A. Jennings, passed away in 1972.
Visitation will be held from 6 pm to 8 pm on Thursday, April 19, 2012, at the Spicer-Mullikin Funeral Home, 1000 N. DuPont Parkway, New Castle. A funeral service will be held at 10:30 am on Friday, April 20, 2012, at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Gracelawn Memorial Park, 2220 N. DuPont Parkway, New Castle.
