Pamela B. Bailey

Mrs. Pamela B. Bailey, age 93, of Newark, DE, passed away on Saturday, April 13, 2013.

Mrs. Bailey, a talented homemaker, was born in Kapuskasing, Canada on September 2, 1919, daughter of the late Angus B. Bower and Beatrice Dolighan Bower. Active in the University of Delaware community, she was a member of many special interest clubs there, including the University of Delaware Retired Faculty Club. She was a devout Christian throughout her life and a longtime member of St. Thomas Episcopal Church, where she served on many committees and ministries.

For many years, she greatly enjoyed traveling with her husband, family, and friends, skiing, ice skating, playing bridge, and dancing.

Her beloved husband, W. Robert A. Bailey, passed away in 1974. She is survived by her children, R. Donald Bailey of Newark, William A. Bailey (Mary) of Reston, VA, Linda J. Windsor of Newark, and Douglas B. Bailey (Laurie) of Calgary, Canada; grandchildren, Peter, Scott, Allison, Melissa, Shawn, Brian, Megan, Michael, and Carolyn; 17 great grandchildren; and a great great grandson.

The family extends their heartfelt thanks to Mrs. Bailey’s caregiver, Koryn.

A celebration of Mrs. Bailey’s life will be held at a later date.
