Patricia Ann Mooney Powell

Patricia Ann Mooney Powell, age 51, of Wilmington, DE, passed away on Sunday, November 17, 2013.
Born in New York, NY, on December 27, 1961, Patricia was a daughter of the late Richard C. Mooney and Kathleen McGarr Mooney. She worked as a Receiving Clerk at Amazon in the company’s Fillament Department.
Patricia was an avid movie buff, and especially enjoyed watching the classics. She was exceptionally creative, and liked crafting in her leisure time. Patricia held a special place in her heart for animals and was a devoted caretaker to her faithful canine companions, Little Puppy, Sierra, and Aeris. Above all else, she was a loving wife, mother, sister, and aunt, and will be dearly missed by her family.
Patricia is survived by her beloved husband of 12 years, Ernest Powell; children, Matthew C. London of Wilmington, DE, Caitlin Marie London of Newark, DE, and Thomas K. London of Wilmington, DE; brothers, Richard C. Mooney of Bow, NH, Joseph P. Mooney and wife, Karen of Atlanta, GA, and Kevin E. Mooney and wife, Kellie of Wanaque, NJ; sister, Kathleen M. Kimber of Newark, DE; and her special nephews and niece, Brendan, Justin, Jackson, Finnegan, and Paige.
Friends may call from 5 pm until 7 pm on Wednesday evening, November 20, 2013 at the Spicer-Mullikin Funeral Home, 121 W. Park Place, Newark, DE. Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 11 am on Thursday, November 21, 2013, at the Holy Family R.C. Church, E. Chestnut Hill and Gender Roads, Newark, DE. Interment will follow in All Saints Cemetery, 6001 Kirkwood Highway, Wilmington, DE.
