Patricia Florence Wiedemann - Spicer-Mullikin Funeral Homes & Crematory

Patricia Florence Wiedemann

November 18, 1941 - November 12, 2025

Patricia Florence Wiedemann, age 83 passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Wednesday, November 12, 2025 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in Somerville, NJ.

Born November 18,1941 Patricia was the daughter of the late Florence and John Bartels of Dobbs Ferry NY. Patricia attended Dobbs Ferry High School and afterwards graduated from the Berkeley secretarial school. While working at Colgate Palmolive in Manhattan she met the love of her life Paul D. Wiedemann. In September of 1962 they married in Dobbs Ferry, NY and their marriage continued for 60 love-filled years.

Patricia worked as a legal secretary for many years and was an executive secretary for almost 20 years for Beneficial Management Corporation and Household Finance. Paul and Patricia moved several times before settling down in Great Meadows, New Jersey where they raised their two children.

Years later they moved to the San Francisco area for a few years then returned to Clinton, New Jersey to be closer to family and resided there until 2003 when they retired to Middletown, Delaware. It was here that she met a number of her close friends, whether playing cards or going to lunch with the Red Hats. Patricia always enjoyed her time with her family and friends including attending her grandchildren’s sporting events and concerts. Some of Patricia’s pastimes were spent enjoying fine dining and traveling with her husband, Paul. There were a number of times you would check in to see how things were going and she always replied “I’m working on a new puzzle”. Patricia was a very patient, soft spoken person who always saw the good things in life.

In addition to her parents, Patricia was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Paul in 2022. She is survived by her loving children Paul R. Wiedemann and his wife Marzanna; daughter Donna Blanton and her husband, Christopher; 5 grandchildren, Paul, Lindsey, Ashley, Sarah and Chloe and her great-grandson, Levi.

Patricia will be missed by all and the love she showed us will be passed through generations to come.
