Patricia M. Klevence

September 6, 1932 - April 6, 2020

Patricia M. Klevence, age 87, of Newark, DE, and formerly of Philadelphia, PA, passed away on Monday, April 6, 2020.

Born in Philadelphia, PA on September 6, 1932, she was a daughter of the late John and Marion (Anderson) Hoey. Patricia dedicated her life to her family as a talented homemaker. She was a devout Catholic, attending mass and saying her rosary daily at Little Sisters of the Poor. Patricia was very proud of her Irish heritage. She loved going to the beach, traveling, reading, and spoiling her dogs and cats. Patricia will always be remembered for her outgoing personality; she was always the first one on the dance floor.

In addition to her parents, Patricia was preceded in death by her daughter, Deborah Klevence; and sister, Elizabeth Hoey. She is survived by her children, The Reverend John P. Klevence of Bethany Beach, Lisa Klevence and Michael F. Klevence, both of Bryn Mawr, PA; grandsons, Maximus E. Klevence and Liam E. Klevence; and canine companion, Bo.

Due to the Coronavirus pandemic, interment will be held privately and a service will be announced at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Patricia’s memory to Little Sisters of the Poor, 185 Salem Church Road, Newark, DE 19713.
