Mr. Patrick J. Teta, age 75, of Newark, DE, passed away on Friday, March 8, 2013.
Born in Troy, NY, on April 13, 1937, Mr. Teta was the son of the late Alfonso Teta and Margaret Dillon Teta. He made his career in the insurance industry, retiring from Metropolitan Insurance as a regional supervisor. In his leisure hours, he greatly enjoyed playing golf and woodworking.
A loving and devoted family man throughout his life, Mr. Teta’s happiest times were always those spent in the company of his beloved wife, children, and grandchildren.
He is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Daveda M. Foley Teta; children, Margaret M. Hunter (Ronald) of Finksburg, MD, Patrick M. Teta (Judith) of Westminster, MD, Paul D. Teta of Philadelphia, PA, and Kathleen M. Turner (William) of Newark, DE; brother, Alfonso Teta of Troy, NY; sister, Margaret Mozgawa of Schenectady, NY; grandchildren, Katie Mays (Sam), Thomas Hunter (Kim), Collin Hunter, Allison Teta, Christopher Teta, Joseph Teta, Grace Teta, Sean Turner, and Kara Turner; and great grandson, Liam Mays. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Rocco Teta and Paul Teta; and sisters, Dorothea Kruegler, Joanna Kondziola, and Lucia Adams.
Visitation will be held from 10:45 am to 11:45 am on Tuesday, March 12, 2013, at St. John the Baptist R.C. Church, E. Main and N. Chapel Streets, Newark, DE. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 12 noon. Interment will be in All Saints Cemetery, 6001 Kirkwood Highway, Wilmington, DE.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Mr. Teta may be made to St. John’s-Holy Angels Parish, 82 Possum Park Road, Newark, DE 19711.
