Paul Stephen Slavik, age 65, of Middletown, DE, passed away on Sunday, February 12, 2023.

Born in Steubenville, OH on November 4, 1957, he was a son of the late Paul O. and LaVerne Norma (Cusick) Slavik. Paul was a graduate of the 1976 class at West Rome High School in Rome, GA. He began his career at Excel Business Systems on August 29, 1994, spending many dedicated years working as an IT director.

Paul was a gregarious family man with a love for the outdoors. In his free time, he enjoyed golf, boating on the Chesapeake, fishing, and camping, and was always eager for another adventure. After retirement, Paul dreamed of starting his own homestead farm in the Smoky Mountains of Tennessee, where he could spend his golden years in tranquility working the land and as a fixture at the local farmer’s market.

In addition to his parents, Paul was preceded in death by his sister, Cathy Jo Wheeler. He is survived by his wife, Laura (Beall) Slavik; children, Jennifer Wilhelm (Craig) and Raven Slavik; siblings, Joseph D. Slavik, Theresa Klein (Scott), and Lisa Chamness (Tom); and nieces and nephews, Dwayne, Reilley, Hannah, Sarah, Dana, Jenna, Angela, and Molly.

A visitation for family and friends will be held from 11 am until 12 pm on Wednesday, February 22, 2023, at Spicer-Mullikin Funeral Home, 275 East Main Street, Middletown, DE, where a memorial service will begin at 12 pm. Interment will be held privately.
