Richard A. Morse “Boots”

Richard A. Boots Morse, 93, of Greenville, DE and formerly of Newark, DE passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 1, 2013.
Born on May 7, 1920 in Beverly, MA, he was the son of the late John Morse and Grace (Elden) Morse.
Boots, as he was affectionately known, graduated from the University of Alabama with a degree in chemical engineering. He later went to work for the DuPont Company as an engineer, retiring in 1982 after over 30 years of dedicated service.
Boots was an avid Alabama football fan and enjoyed playing bridge and golf. He had a passion for collecting hats and enjoyed sharing his unique collection with others.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife, Ina (Jones) Morse and four brothers, Gary, Oak, Abb and Heath Morse.
He is survived by two daughters, Carla Eastburn (Lee) of Elkton, MD and Gayle Faath (Bob) of Jupiter, FL; a sister-in-law, Lois Jones of Trumbull, CT; 2 granddaughters, Tammy Culver and Amy Eastburn; 2 great-grandchildren, Bradlee and Sara Culver and nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at 2 pm on Sunday, December 8, 2013, at the Methodist Country House, 4830 Kennett Pike, Wilmington, DE 19807.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Methodist Country House Benevolent Fund, at the address listed above or to Vitas Innovative Hospice Care, 100 Commerce Drive, Suite 302, Newark, DE 19713.
