Robert Allen Cantiello - Spicer-Mullikin Funeral Homes & Crematory

Robert Allen Cantiello

January 1, 1993 - December 24, 2023

Robert Allen Cantiello, age 30, of Wilmington, DE, went home to be with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, on Sunday, December 24, 2023.

Born in Montgomery County PA, on January 1, 1993, he was the youngest son of George J. JR. and Nancy (Safran) Cantiello.  Family and Friends will always remember “Rob” from his entertaining personality and caring heart. He was very generous with his time and loved helping others when needed.  Rob could strike up a conversation with anyone in the room and always make you laugh.  He enjoyed being “out and about”, fishing, hanging out with friends and watching western movies.  Robert was also a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church where he took confirmation as a teen. With great attention to detail and knowledge, he was  excellent in the locksmith trade and a successful car detailer on the side.

Robert was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, George and Elizabeth Cantiello, Sr.; and his maternal grandparents, Paul and Eleanor Safran. He is survived by his parents; brothers, George III (Anna), and Anthony (Jacqueline); niece, Shea Cantiello; nephew, Maximus Cantiello; aunts and uncles, Betsy Hart (Al), Doris Safran, Barbara Varilla (Alex), Warren Safran, and Karl Safran (Dianne); and a host of cousins and extended family and friends.  Robert will be dearly missed by everyone who had the privilege of knowing this wonderful young man and one of a kind soul.

A visitation for family and friends will be held from 10 am until 12 pm on Monday, January 8, 2024, at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, 701 South College Avenue, Newark, DE where a funeral service will begin at 12 pm. Interment will be held privately.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Robert’s name to The Hagley Museum, 200 Hagley Creek Rd, Wilmington, DE 19807.

  • I’m sorry to Rob’s family for their loss. I knew Rob as a dear coworker a couple of years while we both worked at ACME Markets in Avondale, PA. We often worked the closing shift and all the workers including Rob knew how to get stuff done and get it done quickly. We often had a get it done mindset which often led to successful cleanings at the Deli. He will be missed. From my family to yours.
