Robert Glenn Richmond
June 30, 1959 - June 15, 2021
Robert Glenn Richmond, affectionally known as Glenn, age 61, of Newport, DE, passed away on Tuesday, June 15, 2021.
Born in Wilmington, DE on June 30, 1959, he was a son of the late Robert T. and Barbara Ann (Adkinson) Richmond. Glenn was a graduate of Delcastle High School in 1977 and became a journeyman pressman. He later retired as a security guard for Securitas Security Services USA. Glenn loved listening to music, especially The Monkees and The Beatles. In his spare time, he enjoyed collecting movies and watching NASCAR.
Glenn was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Barbara Richmond; and best friends, Melvin and Johnnie Wright. He is survived by his siblings, Steven D. Richmond, Denise B. Best and Paula C. Richmond (Patrick); nieces and nephew, April Iacono, Amy Iacono, Joseph Iacono and Cammie McClafferty; great nephews, Nicholas Ward and Frankie Iacono; great niece, Talyah Cook; great-great nephew, Dominic Cortes; and his pet cat, Pretty Girl.
A visitation for family and friends will be held from 6 pm until 7 pm on Wednesday, June 30, 2021, at Spicer-Mullikin Funeral Home, 1000 North DuPont Parkway, New Castle, DE, where a memorial service will begin at 7 pm. Face coverings will be required for all those in attendance not immunized with the COVID-19 vaccine per the CDC and Governor of Delaware. Interment will be held privately.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Glenn’s memory to the Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation, 230 East Ohio Street, Ste. 500, Chicago, IL 60611, or to the American Diabetes Association, P.O. Box 7023, Merrifield, VA 22116-7023.
