To cousin Judith and Family February 13, 2018
It seems like only yesterday that we attended the beautiful wedding of Judith and Bob. Bob had served as a volunteer in the local fire service and as a special honor and fun event, Judith, still in wedding gown, and Bob rode the firetruck around town in celebration. I only wish that our adult lives, with intervening distances had enabled me to better know Bob personally. I well remember his leadership skills, his intellect and his quick and clever humor.
My love goes out to Judith and the entire family. I have been reflecting daily on the challenge Judith faced daily in caring for Bob for the last few months.
With love,
Ruth (McLean) Cahn

I will always remember Bob & Judy sitting with me on my dad’s last day, keeping me company for hours as he slowly passed. A lifetime friendship. Such amazing bonds.
My heart goes out to Judy, the kids, and all family & friends. Bob was one of a kind and he will be missed. Rest in peace. Sending much love!

dear Judy, You and your family have our deepest sympathy. The message in Psalm 118 speaks of a righteous man. We know he will be missed.

Bob was one of the finest people I’ve ever known, and has had the greatest influence on my life than any other man I’ve known. He was like a father to me. My biggest regret is that I never outright told him how much I loved him; but, my hope is that he knows now. Bob, you were my loyal friend, in good times and bad; you taught me more than I am able to describe, and I have tried to pass on that knowledge to as many people as I could over the years. To this day, I speak of you often; you are alive in many people’s lives by the example you set. I hope to see you again, my friend. We will laugh, as we always have when we got together, and remember the times we had. I will miss you more than you know. Please know that my weeping is for joy that you are out of pain, and my sadness at missing you.

We regret not being there for the funeral but it is really difficult traveling with Marge.
Our friendship with Bob goes back to the old days on Dithridge Street in Oakland when Bob
began to court the lovely and talented Judith Taylor in 1960. We remember those days with great fondness and we shall always remember Robert Horensky as a Gentleman, husband, father, truly special friend, and United States Marine.
