Paxson, Jr. and Jamie Lynn Paxson; beloved grandchildren, Lucas Paxson, Mia Paxson and Crystal Tiana Carneiro; brothers, George and Chris (Shannon) Paxson; sisters, Cindy Hearn and Kim McCardell (Jeff); godfather, George Czerny (Candy), with whom he shared a special bond; fiancée, Denise Haggerty and her sons, Michael and Jimmy Haggerty; nieces, Andrea, Christy, and Brooke; nephews, Matt and Tyler; numerous great nieces and nephews; and a host of other family members and friends.
A visitation for family and friends will be held from 11 am until 12 pm on Saturday, February 1, 2020 at the Spicer-Mullikin Funeral Home, 1000 N. DuPont Parkway, New Castle, DE 19720, followed by a memorial service at 12 pm. Interment will be held privately.

Although I moved out of DE in 1981, and only have seen him several times since, it does not change the fact that Bob Paxson was one of the best friends in my life, starting at age 8 in Mrs. Bland’s 2nd grade class. For several years, it seemed like I was with Bob and the Paxson family practically every day, accepted as a family member. We played countless number of home run derby wiffle ball games, in fact, we could make up any game that involved a ball.
I have never forgotten, nor ever will, the times I spent with Bob and the Paxson family in the most care-free time of life, and the freindship and fun shared there, still, some of the best memories in my life. My deepest regrets to Mrs. Paxson, George, Cindy, Chris and Kim, and to the rest of the family on both the loss of Mr. Paxson, and now Bob. My thoughts and prayers are with you.
Rest in peace Bobby Paxson, rest in peace. Reserve me a spot me on that wiffle ball home-run derby field of dreams, and Kenny Poczynek will eventually be there to join ya.

Zellla and all the family,
Words are never adequate in a time like this. May precious memories and love of each other be with you as you struggle to keep going. God is there helping you along. If there is anything at all at any time that I can
do please don’t hesitate to call me. Love you all. Margo
