Ronald “Ron” Dale Plank - Spicer-Mullikin Funeral Homes & Crematory

Ronald “Ron” Dale Plank

Ronald “Ron” Dale Plank, age 74, of Townsend, DE, formerly of Levittown, PA, died on May 26, 2023 at home after a lengthy illness.

Born at Coatesville Hospital, PA, he was the son of the late Charles W. Plank and June K. Plank. Ron was a 1967 graduate of Pennsbury High School. He was a passionate and masterful carpenter, working over 40 years in construction in the Bucks County/Philadelphia areas before retiring.

Ron loved travel and adventures with his wife, Debbie, especially to Aruba where they visited more than 25 times. Every passion Ron pursued, he did so with enthusiastic dedication. He became an avid golfer but cherished the fun time on the course with “the boys” even more than the sport. Earlier in life, he loved working on and racing his 1970 Chevelle convertible, known as Ron’s Rat. Many joked that he loved it like a 5th child. Ron loved his family and cherished spending time with his children, grandchildren, and many friends. He was spunky, playful, some might say, a “little” competitive, and would liven up any gathering.

Surviving him is his loving wife, Debbie, of Townsend, DE; four children, Ellen married to Peter Sheft of Allentown, NJ, Steve married to Susan Iwamoto of Tustin, CA, Rachel married to Bernie Panaro of Levittown, PA and Becky married to Jason McCullough of Levittown, PA; twelve grandchildren (Jourdain, Lexi, Anna, Joshua, Ava, Kaleighanne, Kyla, Kinsey, Alex, Emily, Sarah and David); his brother, Rick married to Lori of Tinicum, PA and his niece, Erin; he was also like a “brother” to his sister and brother-in law, Karen and Wes Dalrymple of Langhorne, PA; mother-in-law, Hazel Worsman; and his nephew Scott married to Ashley and their children (Shelby, Amelia and Weston).

A visitation for family and friends will be held from 9:30 am until 10:30 am on Thursday, June 1, 2023, at Spicer-Mullikin Funeral Home, 275 East Main Street, Middletown, DE, where a funeral service will begin at 10:30 am. Interment will follow in Newtown Cemetery, 600 Newtown Yardley Road, Newtown, PA.
