Rosalie M. (Chirco) Pucylowski

Rosalie M. (Chirco) Pucylowski, of New Castle, DE, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 28, 2018.

Born in New Castle, DE, she was a daughter of the late Martin and Jennie (Cattano) Chirco. Rosalie spent her career with the Hoys 5 & 10 in New Castle and as a retail manager at the Wilmington Dry Goods, where she was fondly known as Ms. P.

Rosalie’s favorite activities were going to see broadway musicals, live music, dancing, reading a great book and brunch with her family. The family will always remember her incredible fried chicken, homemade meatballs, and always ordering the same thing as one of her daughters.

In addition to her parents, Rosalie was preceded in death by her daughter, Carolyn Pucylowski; and sister, Anna Toner. She is survived by her daughters, Susan Brown of Garnet Valley, and Kimberly (Pucylowski) Daniels of Pike Creek; granddaughter, Jennifer Brown of Avondale; and sisters, Josephine Kolasinski, Nicolina Petro, Jeannette Andress and Elaine Ford (Jim).

A visitation for family and friends will be held from 10 am until 11 am on Wednesday, April 4, 2018 at Spicer-Mullikin Funeral Home, 1000 North DuPont Parkway, New Castle, DE. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:30 am at Our Lady of Fatima R.C. Church, 801 N. DuPont Highway, New Castle, DE. Interment will follow in Gracelawn Memorial Park, 2220 N. DuPont Parkway, New Castle, DE.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Rosalie’s name to either Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, First State Chapter, 100 W. 10th St., Suite 1103, Wilmington, DE 19801or American Heart Association, 200 Continental Drive, Suite 101, Newark, DE 19713.

  • Sue and Kim, So very sorry to hear that your Mom passed away. Sending Prayers to you both. Your Mom was a wonderful woman. I have nice memories of her as we were growing up.

  • I worked with Rose at TJMaxx, she was so nice and we would take about many things on our brakes, One of my friend did her hair for years, Charlotte Fisher , this world is so small , I worked at Dry Good back in the 50th but did not know her,RIP sweet lady .dottie Collins

  • I worked with Rose at T.J.MAXX. She always asked me everyday how I was doing and how my family is doing especially my grandson CJ. When I was out on a medical leave she called me and send me a get well card. . Rose is one of the kindest and loving person I have ever meet. She will be truly missed. RIP my dear friend.
